Zap Your Own Yogurt

Summary: Kwik Yogurt

This is an alternative way of making yogurt, much simpler.

Ceramic casserole
Thermometer
Milk
Yogurt for starter
Microwave oven 1KW

Zap the milk in the ceramic container at high setting for 10 min/L. This will bring the milk to 80C. Put the casserole lid on from now on. Let cool to 42-44C. For each liter of milk add half a cup of yogurt to a cup of warm milk, stir and return to casserole, leave casserole in the microwave (lid on). Incubate for 4.5 hrs. To keep milk at correct temperature, zap for 30-45 seconds every half hour at high setting. Refrigerate when incubation is complete.
